10 Questions To Make 2011 Incredible

Have you ever done a year in review? Each year I invite my clients to do one. December is a perfect time to take a step back for reflection over the year.

These 10 questions will help you create a snapshot of 2010 as you prepare to create a fabulous 2011.

2010 The Year in Review

Taking time to reflect on the past year by acknowledging your successes, uncovering obstacles, and completing as much as you can before the year ends, opens space for new intentions to actualize.

Writing your responses to these questions will support you in being your best so that you can build upon your business successes and experience greater personal happiness.

1. What successes, accomplishments, and things are you most proud of? Write them all down including the small ones too! So often we gloss the ways we have grown, the challenges we have overcome and turned into opportunities, the ways we have stretched out of our comfort zone to take a leap of faith, and to do things we fear because they are the pathways to the freedom we seek. Acknowledge all the steps you have taken personally as well as in your business.

EVERY completed step is an  accomplishment and a success regardless of the outcome because you have been willing to participate in LIFE! Every experience has contributed to becoming the person you are today. It all counts! Ask friends for some feedback to help you fill in the picture if you need some help.

2. What contributed to your success? What flowed easily and worked well? As you reflect on the year, are there any remaining intentions that you no longer feel passionate or excited about? Perhaps you needed to change direction or put something on hold because the timing was off? Delete any intentions you no longer resonate or align with. Which ones will you choose to recommit to or expand on in 2011?

3. What didn’t flow so well?  Looking backwards, what would you do differently that would lead you to success today? What would need to change? What were you resisting that you would need to release? I encourage you to review past challenges with a perspective of curiosity. What may have seemed like a difficult challenge in the past was actually an opportunity you can now learn from for the future.

4. What is unfinished? What is bugging you or hanging around that is incomplete? This could be anything that still feels important or stuff that is energy-draining. Clutter is a huge energy drain and takes many forms such energy draining people, debt, too many “to dos’, things that need to be repaired or replaced. Think of those people and things you continually avoid or delay handling.

5. What was upsetting, disappointing or challenging in the past year? Consider anything that might need to be healed, resolved, and released within yourself so that you are not carrying pain from the past into your future. Every experience presents an opportunity to learn something new and offers a gift of growth regardless of the outcome. What did you learn and how have the experiences helped you, personally and professionally? Write down the gifts of each experience. (PS – there are no real failures, only learning experiences for greater wisdom to flourish!)

6. Insights, new learning and awareness, you’ve gained about yourself in the last year. Often we learn things and forget to own them as we move forward. Writing them down helps  to remember and integrate them more deliberately into your heart and life.

7. What are you thankfull for? Gratitude magnetizes abundance and opens the door for good things to flow to us. What better way to tap into the Law of Attraction by putting attention on love and gratitude! Include things that have stretched your, pushed your buttons, and really served you to become more than you were. Every person and situations is in service to your healing, growth, and evolution. EVERYTHING.

8. How will you celebrate and acknowledge your wins this year? What plans will you make to give yourself kudos? So often we achieve something we value and want without taking time to appreciate what we received. With our sights on the next thing we want or what we feel we have to do, wins often lose the value once accomplished.

9. What are your intentions and decisions for next year? What’s your dream? What is really calling to your heart? What passions and soul urgings are asking to be expressed? Describe it in detail so it’s compelling and inviting. What are you ready to say yes to truly expresses your deepest desires rather than what you think you should want? Choose the desires you have made the decision to take action on.

10. What will you need to achieve what you want in 2011? Consider what worked well for you in this year that you can leverage next year. What’s missing that you might need – updated systems, structures, more committed time for your spiritual practices and connection with The Divine, more breaks to re-energize, a vacation…? What steps will you take to fill in any gaps? Consider the circle of friends, colleagues, and professionals you have surrounded yourself with that provide a wealth of ideas, support, and connections.

2011 is knocking at your door. Who are you ready to become?

As the powerfull Creator you are, the future is yours to design by the choices you make today. The more aligned you are with your deepest desires and soul purpose as a loving and compassionate presence, the richer your life will be and the greater positive impact you will make on humanity.

Blessings,

Lorraine
