Write a “Thank You” Letter to God

At the beginning of 2009, in addition to creating a treasure map or vision board, I wrote a “Thank You” letter to God. The idea was suggested in my mastermind group. We were each asked to write the letter and read it our group meeting.
The idea is this:
The letter is dated for the last day of the year. Imagine it is the end of the year and you are gratefully reflecting on all the accomplishments, miracles, gifts, blessings, joys…. that occurred in 2010. Written as it has already happened, let your heart write the letter expressing all you want for yourself, others, and the world for 2010. I invite you to make space for your soul to write this letter with you so that you are bringing forth the voice of your heart as you write.
When I wrote my letter last year, my theme was “I Say YES!”. I was ready to take my business to the next level and challenge myself to “stop playing small” so my letter invited me to achieve and celebrate some big dreams in 2009. When I shared it out loud to the group, I was surprised at all the emotion that came up. I had let myself dream big and by the end of the reading, I was in tears. It was incredibly powerfull.
A few days ago I reread my letter for 2009. How’d I do in manifesting my dreams and desires? Great in some areas. 2009 had some surprises and bumps literally including my ankle injury, the ideas to create some new programs and decison to write my book. All in all, it was a very rich year.
My letter for 2010 is a BIGGER vision that really excites me. My theme is “ Faith, Trust, Courage” to guide me taking inspired deliberate action. I am focusing on listening deeply to the calling of my spirit to what I feel called to do and be that is in service to others, my soul path, God, the world and the earth.
Subconscious beliefs and behaviors can sabotage dreams and desires when we are mis-aligned with manifesting what we want. What is calling to your heart? Are you listening and saying YES?
You are a Creator. You are creating every moment of every day with your thoughts, words, and actions. When you partner with God/The Divine to deliberately and consciously create by remembering Who You Are, all things are possible. In “Happier Than God” by Neale Donald Walsch, we are reminded that “Life is meant to be happy.”
And if you look at 2009 with some judgments and disappointments, I encourage you to remember that every experience offer a healing and growth opportunity to evolve. What did you learn about yourself? Refer to my article on Doing An End of The Year Review

This is a technique I’ve been using for the past couple of years. A good ‘confidence coach’ friend of mine shared the idea with me.

This is a really beautiful idea. Thank you. I don’t get to attend church because my parents are “too busy” but luckily I got an E-book with the Holy Bible! The Heavanly Father really blessed me with that one, because I had been praying for the chance to read the Bible. So, I read the Bible and look up things like this online, your ideas have really helped me develope a closer relashionship with God, and teach me a bit about Him, though not nearly as much as I would hope (I don’t even know the basics, because you learn those at Church!) When I get old enough that it is my choice to attend Church, I will, because I have so much more to learn about Him.

Good morning Caroline. Writing a thank you letter to God is a favorite practice. And now, more than ever, I am encouraging people to prioritoze their relationship with the God of their understanding and we move into this new age of enlightenment. I beleive God can be anything we need the Divine presence to be and is ALWAYS pure Love. If you seek to know God, create sacred time to commune with him/her every day and talk from your heart like a child. I do. Love and blessings, Lorraine
