Have you ever had your computer crash or been infected by a virus?
I have.
In fact, I have had three computer crashes, one serious virus attack last year and had my system wiped clean with all programs reinstalled twice.
Boy, do you find out how dependent you are on your computer when your don’t have access! It’s like rediscovering your hands when they aren’t busy typing. And if you use your computer for your business as I do, having your important files and documents on hand and accessible is important to run your business effectively. The stress and anxiety I felt not having my computer and concern for what might be lost was very high.
So, the last time my computer went down, it finally sank in to go and purchase an external hard drive. Yes, I had been backing up important files periodically and now it became very clear that having an external hard drive would give me piece of mind to protect my important documents.
If you have ever priced some of the services that help you recover lost files in the event you can still use your computer, the investment for an external hard drive is peanuts by comparison!
Personally, my preference was to purchase Seagate. I like the brand and it’s reputation. I have a 500 GB capacity for all my documents, MP3 files, and videso which can be pretty large files. I have it hooked up to my computer and it updates my files daily.
If you have information you want to be sure you have protected and don’t have an external hard drive, go get one today!
Cheers,
Lorraine
