Do Your Words Reflect Your Heart & Soul?

I’ve been writing about being in this transition period. What has become clear to me is that I need to revamp some of the pages on my website. Why? The words just don’t capture what’s in my heart and what I truly wish visitors to know.
I have revised the home page so many times! The whole boiling down process can take time to find just the right words that say what you mean. Sometimes it takes courage to say it like it is!
So, I’ve been writing a little bit at a time and feeling into the words. Rushing to come up with something quickly is creating more stress than clarity. The funny thing is that a few years ago I took a course with Isabel Parlett from Parlance Training who is amazing. She teaches people how to communicate their unique value in the marketplace. Her tagline is pretty cool - Find The Words You Need To Rock The World.
I took her course and worked on how to articulate what I do for my clients. At the end of the course I felt pretty good at what I created in my message when people ask, “What do you do?” After all that work, I didn’t use it in my introductions or on my website for more than a month. Why?
I wasn’t ready to own my message. I convinced myself that folks wouldn’t relate to the words; they weren’t catchy enough, didn’t sound business -y enough… Yada, yada, yada…That’s the story I told myself.
Now, I’ve come full circle. I am ready to be authentic in my message and I’m letting my heart and spirit(soul) write this new script. It’s coming in pieces because my internal editor keeps butting in. LOL
Many people struggle to communicate their value to others. They get caught up in how things need to look and sound to others. With all the trainings, books, and strategies available that give you different success blueprints, it’s easy to get lost in someone’s technique!
The key is to take only what is of value from each resource and discard the rest. Adapt what is meaningful for you and customize it so that it has your unique fingerprint.
When you’re tapped in to who you are inside, you will get signals when you are out of sync with who you are and what you are doing. Pay attention! The more you develop your intuition, instinct, and recognize all the ways your soul speaks to you, the faster you will know when you need to look at something more closely. If you miss the signal, no worries. It will get louder!
Is what’s coming out of your mouth (or written) a reflection of your heart? Are you saying what you mean and meaning what you say?
Cheers,
Lorraine

Hey Lorraine
I really hear you on this one and have been going through this myself. I have yet to complete the text on my coaching pages with the right words as I am not being inspired by words that come from my soul.
The funny thing is I was on a business radio show this morning and the other guest was an entrepreneur in the financial services industry. While I was waiting I started thinking about how my part would be recieved. The other guest was a bit nervous and actually pulled out a pack of angel cards and offered me to pick one!
Also, my part went down well, as soon as I settled into it and stopped overthinking the words I was using. The presenter said she felt she had been enlightened!
I would say that what is coming out of our mouths is a reflection of where our hearts currently are but not our soul. Language can tell you a lot about your thought processes so I guess right now language is probably highlighting a conflict between heart and soul.
I too am having some internal conflict with my internal editor and am using EFT to release what I no longer need. Check out http://www.tapping.com for some easy to follow EFT videos you can start using right away.
In love, light, abundance, fun and games x x x

Thanks for the comments, support and feedback Ladies
For me when I use the word heart I am meaning my soul so I will clarify that right now.
Thanks for the reminder of EFT Lola. I am trained in EFT, TAT, TFT and Psych-K and I find they are so useful when working with inner chatter.
To gain clarity of what I want to say, what works for me is really being still, meditating, and allowing the words to rise to the surface. What I tap into my spirit - the words come. They often blow me away!
Keep listening Lola!
I’ll check out the video Gamy.
Have a great weekend

Ahh, the essence of personal growth! Every day, every experience is an opportunity for growth. It can get overwhelming, but your post reminds us to use what works and to discard the rest.
