Well, I finally did it. After dragging my heels dealing with an out-dated autoresponder system, I finally said enough is enough. In the last 4 weeks I’ve had a ton of emails bouncing because my system can no longer manage my email lists. While that’s a good thing because it means my business is expanding, transitioning to a new system can be a bear when you do it without having the proper structures in place! I have my VA and web designer pretty busy!
Some things to remember before announcing a change of servers:
1. Switch all sign-up html codes for all offers on your site and test them to be sure they work.
2. Consider migrating your list over a period or 2-4 weeks so folks have advance time to respond.
3. Set up email reminders so folks remember to take action.
4. Offer a thank you gift for re-subscribers for a limited period of time. ( Mine is a 33-page eBook on Business Success and Life Tips compiled from my blog).
5. Expect some subscribers to drop-off in making the transition. It goes with the territory whenever changes occur. It’s not personal!
