Going With The Flow and Getting Real

Yesterday I met with my spiritual mastermind group on our conference call. We meet twice monthly and it’s a powerfull group. We all have intentions to play a bigger game this year by being bolder in some of our projects and becoming more visible and known in the marketplace.
Our focus is to bridge our spirituality with our business strategies. You may even be hearing the phrase, soul-based business?
Instead of just approaching our business growth from a viewpoint of, “Go, go go and all the things we have to do”, that comes from our head knowledge, we look at tuning inside to our instincts and intuition (our souls, Source, the Divine, Higher Power) to be our guidance system in directing our actions. We still learning how to tap in and trust our inner guidance rather than falling back into being ego-directed. It’s pretty interesting to watch what happens when you become a better listener!
What you may or may not know (I wrote about this in an earlier post) is that I’ve been an ordained spiritual minister (interfaith) with a Doctor of Divinity since the mid 80s. In the last year and a half I have been feeling pulled to let folks know I’m a minister and to be speaking more about spiritual topics in my conversations, language, my writings, products, radio show…everywhere. Quite honestly, it feels a little like coming out of the closet and owning something I’ve been downplaying for a long time for different reasons including the feeling I had to come across a certain way to be taken seriously in my business. Oh - the things we tell ourselves!
Yesterday the topic of getting real came up and how we each are feeling called inside to express our spiritual voice in ways we have been holding back because of concerns about how we’ll be perceived and accepted.
We realized that it’s time to surrender all the reasons and excuses we’re been holding onto to hide who we are. Each time we’ve listened to and followed our instincts and intuition the results have been pretty amazing. Personally, I’ve attracted more prosperity, speaking engagements, radio guest spots, and workshop presentations since I began listening more to my guidance system and going with the flow even when it seemed to me contrary to my (head) intentions.
So, here’s my declaration of saying that you’ll be seeing more spiritual themes in everything I say and do. That’s who I am. If what I share speaks to you, I’m thrilled to be of service to your own journey.
What are you denying that it time for you to claim?
What are you ready to surrender and give up?
I invite you to pay attention to what is calling to you that might be different from what you think you need to do. When you partner with the Universe, real magic happens.

Yes, this is so true Lorraine, nothing like finding our personal “calling” and following it.
Lately, I have been experiencing many encounters of these kind, and I am amazed at how I have improved so much on my sensitivity to my inner source.
I have been receiving ideas, creativities, words of wisdom, etc.
A few times I got the exact thing I should be doing in my heart, and I just followed the flow and did it..and “Bang” the next thing I received emails and also I will somehow be brought to a site or video that confirms what I have done is correct and am on the right track.
This is getting really exciting for me, and I am enjoying it so much.

Surrendering is very difficult for me. I’m such a control freak that it’s hard to let go. But when I do, things have a way of turning out better than I expected. When will I finally learn this lesson?

Exactly what I’m talking about. I encourage you (and me!) to keep following that inner voice and trust. That’s the key that helps build faith and connection to Source energy. Keep it up!

It’s a journey! We have become so attached to relying on ourselves to handle things that we find surrendering difficult. The lesson is learned when faith and trust is fully embraced and shifts to “absolute knowing.” I can feel those shifts in myself and I’m getting closer to that state. As for surrendering to other people - that includes developing trust with others while deeping self-trust.
How’s that for an answer or was your question rhetorical?

Hi Lorraine,
This is definitely an area I need to work on. I’ve been doing a lot of inner work these past couple years but this one has been hanging on to me. I have so much going on and now I’m going to really turn up my awareness in this topic and put what you are speaking of into practice.

I know - it’s like having a pebble in your shoe or something that keeps poking at you. It becomes more insitent as if it is yelling, “Hey, pay attention here!” I’m grateful for the persistence.

Very nice! Only our higher self knows the path we have to take. We may not know the entire path right away or given to us only in bits whenever we are ready, but when we surrender to our higher self, path becomes a bed of roses without any stress or fears.

Its a great reminder of who we are rather than who we think are.

It’s all about aligning with our higher self rather than identifying with our egos. The challenge is staying awake to that truth so that we’re not falling asleep!
It’s an ongoing journey.
