I’ve been participating in submitting articles to Blog Carnivals for several months. The blogger who introduced me to them is my friend Lyman Reed of Creating A Better Life, the originating host of the Personal Development Carnival. This is my third opportunity as a guest host.
With Lyman’s recent announcement to retire this Carnival, I am delighted to be the host of an especially rich collection of smart, serious, sweet, & sassy submissions in the final edition. (Try saying that 3x fast!)
I hope you enjoy them!
~ Lyman presents Are you doing the best that you can do? posted at Creating a Better Life. He says, “The short answer… yes, you are!”
~ Alex Blackwell presents What Would You Say Today? posted at The Next 45 Years.
~ Daylle Deanna Schwartz presents Is Fat Contagious?? posted at Lessons from a Recovering DoorMat. Many people blame others for making them gain weight. A recent study showed that the people around you can make you fat. Believing that provides an excuse for packing on the pounds. Accepting that it’s YOUR choice to overeat gives you the power to control your weight.
~ Gamy Rachel presents Build Up Your Self-Esteem, The Power Is In You posted at Mind Think Success. She says, “Try not to base your understanding about yourself by other peoples’ opinion about you. Human beings tend to be opinionated, and if we live our lives depending on other peoples’ opinion about us, we will be hurt most of the time. You may ask, “can I break away from such negative pattern? the answer is a definite yes, you can. You can be unstoppable once you know and love yourself. ”
~ Edith presents 99 Life Lessons Learned from Quitting Corporate America posted at Edith Yeung.Com: Dream. Think. Act.
~ Tejvan presents How to Know the Right Thing to Do. posted at Sri Chinmoy Inspiration. Learn Some tips on working out the right thing to do.
~ David B. Bohl presents Personal Development: What?s Your Dream? posted at Slow Down Fast Today!. He adds, “Everyone’s got a dream, whether they go to Hollywood or not. Everyone has something they long to accomplish, something that they fantasize about when they’re just daydreaming and there’s nothing much going on and they’re wishing they could be somewhere and somewhen else. So what’s your dream? ”
~ Albert Foong presents Love and Aloneness - Unravelling the ego and pride posted at Urban Monk.
~ Pat Ruppel presents $$$ Money $$$ - Where Is It - Where Can I Get Some? posted at Plain Talk and Ordinary Wisdom.
~ Career Counselor presents Breaking the Cycle of Bitterness and Finding Happiness at Work posted at ask the CareerCounselor. Personal choice is critical to happiness. Like it or not, the world you create for yourself is a result of your personal choices and attitude. The lens through which you view your situation will determine if you emerge victorious or broken. You can choose to find happiness in your situation or you can choose to drown in negativity and bitterness.
~ Dr Martin Russell presents Are You Going Wrong Right? posted at Dr Martin W. Russell.
~ Cathy presents The Cosmic Wheel of Kindness…Pass It On! posted at Joy Thru Generosity. This idea to pass on a “token of kindness” began as a unique way for people to reach out and connect with others. In recognition of random acts of kindness, a “token” is passed on to someone as they perform a kind act. This sets the “cosmic wheel of kindness” into motion, as tokens are passed on endlessly! Whenever someone performs an act of kindness hand them a token.
~ Stephen Joseph presents You Too Might Be Able To See Without Glasses posted at Steve H Joseph’s Creativity Blog. When I started studying personal growth I learned about the various connections between the body and the mind. What I experienced from experimenting blew me away.
~ Warren Wong presents How To Feel Better And Be Happier posted at Personal Development. Some practical tips you can use now to feel better and be happier.
~ Vladimir presents Why is Pilates good for Internet users and man in particular? posted at Vladimir Prelovac Online. He ends by saying “Good Luck”.
~ Sagar Satapathy presents Stretch Your Goals: 10 Yoga Moves for Productivity posted at Bootstrapper.
~ FitBuff presents 30 Sexiest Things to Say to Your Girlfriend | FitBuff.com’s Total Mind and Body Fitness Blog posted at FitBuff.com’s Total Mind and Body Fitness Blog. There are many things to say to your girlfriend that could either turn her off, or turn her very on. You would be wise to stick with the latter, for both your sakes. Use these one-liners at the right time, and you could be in for some serious fun.
~ Richard Ingersoll presents Using Vibration to Manifest Your Ideal Life posted at Applying the Law of Attraction. The entire physical world is nothing but a sea of vibrating particles. We talk about “good vibes” and “bad vibes”, but what does that really mean? How can we use the knowledge of vibration to create the reality we desire?
~ GreatManagement presents Successful Managers Share Information! posted at The GreatManagement Blog. We can share lots of different things with others, such as material things, money and time, but one of the easiest and most useful things we can share are thoughts and ideas.
~ Maria Fernandez presents Language learning tips - motivation posted at Learn a foreign language - blog. Tips on how to learn a foreign language successfully.
~ Super Saver presents Our Journey To Financial Freedom #8 - My Personal Finance Mind Tricks posted at My Wealth Builder.
~ desinet1 presents Get a Free Backlink from This Blog posted at Web Tools and Tips. He says, “I am starting my own way to build some crucial backlinks, which should appear to be natural and organic to Google. They will be helping both your blog, as well as mine. Just, send me the URL(s) to which you want a backlink, alongwith the keyword(s) of your choice for every URL. I will accommodate it within my next few posts.”
That concludes the final edition of The Personal Development Carnival. My thanks to Lyman and to all the bloggers who contributed such fabulous articles!
I’d like to offer a closing quote:
“Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming — Whoo Hoo– What a Ride!” Attributed to Bill McKenna, Anonymous and in a Nissan ad.
Warm wishes to all for a light-hearted and joy-filled holiday.
Peace,
Lorraine
