“People are not lazy. They simply have impotent goasl; that is goals that do not inspire them”. - Anthony Robbins
So often I hear people talk about the things they want and complain because they are not where they want to be. They feel frustrated because they aren’t moving fast enough, they feel stuck, or they’re tried things with limited success and they don’t know what to do next. There can be several reasons folks are unhappy with themselves and their life.
One that consistently comes up is that people are pursuing goals and actions that aren’t really what they want. Often, their goals are ones they think they should want or what others want for them. Following someone else’s dream means living another’s life rather than the one we are meant to live. The result is unhappiness and emptiness.
Here is a process to gain clarity:
1. Write down something you strongly desire.
2. Next write down why you want it. What makes it so important to you?
3. If you had what you desire, what would you receive from having it? What would it give you that you don’t have now?
4. In response to step 3, repeat #2 again and then repeat #3 In other words, whatever your answer is to #3, keep alternating #2 & #3 so that you are peeling back your responses to get to the heart of what you really want.
For example:
1. What you desire is more money.
2. You want it because that will give you financial freedom.
3. If you had financial freedom, you wouldn’t be worried about being able to pay the bills.
~ If you were worry free, you would be able to have more fun which would mean you would have more happiness. That’s important because if you felt happier, you could let more love in.
~ Having more love would mean feeling more inner peace and if you felt more peace, you would feel connected to Source.
What you really want is to be aligned with Source/God. I may have skipped through this a bit fast and I think you get the picture, right?
When you uncover what is at the core of your heart’s desires and dreams, you might find that many of your struggles and challenges fall away when you start listening and following your inner spirit. Knowing what you really want will motivate and inspire you to manifest having it sooner than later. If feeling inner peace is your ultimate goal, there are many routes to achieve peace including abundant prosperity.
Why not have both - money and peace? In fact, why not have it all?
If you were truly motivated and inspired by what you really desire, how might you inspire and motivate others? If we all allowed our hearts and spirits to be the guiding force in our lives, what would our own lives be like? What might the world look like?
Choose to be inspired and motivated by your heart and spirit. Watch what happens!
Enjoy
