Power of Attraction – Luck or Brilliance?

This past Saturday I called a friend to have lunch at a favorite local Thai restaurant. I was delighted when it opened in my area several years ago because I love good Thai food. Over the years I have eaten there many times with friends and no matter when I came, either for lunch or dinner, it always seemed to be lacking in a bustling clientele. I wondered if it would survive or go out of business. So, when I showed up on Saturday I was disappointed to find they had finally closed their doors for good.
First of all the location of the restaurant was terrible. It was in a small strip mall that was up a small hill and was difficult to see from the main road. If you didn’t know the restaurant was there, you might never find it. Oh yeah – not many people did! They did no local marketing with coupons, ads, or specials to let people know about them. The interior of the restaurant was dull, a little dingy, and dimly lit. I went because I liked the food and the prices were great. A friend of mine, who routinely met me there, felt the interior didn’t feel warm and welcoming.
Right down the road is a Japanese restaurant I’ve been to tons of times. They always draw a crowd. When you walk in you are immediately greeted and seated. The interior is brightly colored, well lit, and feels inviting. This restaurant is also located in a small strip mall that is newly built and right on the main road with easy access for parking. Not only is the restaraunt visible, they have a large sign right on the corner at the light. You can’t miss it. They advertise continually with coupons and specials.
My area is booming with real estate development and a great restaurant could really thrive with the right marketing and ambiance.
Two good restaurants – one attracts success and the other closes its’ doors. Luck? Location? Something more…..?
I’ve been talking a lot about The Law of Attraction lately. Not just because it’s such a hot topic. As you know, I talk a lot about how important it is to grow yourself if you want to grow your business so I devote a portion of my personal time on self development too. One of my favorite books is Ask And It Is Given by Abraham-Hicks. It’s all about applying The Law of Attraction and Intention. Since the beginning of the year my business has been growing steadily the more I have been deliberately working with attraction and changing my beliefs.
How’s your business?
Limping along? Teetering on the brink of success? Exploding with opportunities and new clients?
Look at your attitude. Do you have a success or failure mindset? What you believe and put your attention on is what you attract. It’s the Law of Attraction in action.
If you’re not happy with yourself or your life, take a look at what you’re attracting. That’ll give you clues to what you’re creating with your attitude. Awareness is the first step to making changes.
What you do with what you discover is up to you.

There are many reasons why things may not flow even when a person is proactive and feel they are positive. It is all about vibrational alignment – thoughts, feelings, beliefs at bothethe conscious and subconscious level. And there can be a misalgnment between when our human and soul self desire.

heard all the claptrap over 4 decades and guess what nothing changes,tried everything and even though i have believed in the paranormal since i was 14-15 i am finally at this late stage in my life to doubt anything exists at all, so explain to me after trying everything from chants-invocations-astrology-numerology-possitive thought-runes-crystals-silly suggestions by self styled psychics- spells-in fact more things than i could ever mention and all that happens is dissappointment, cobblers absolutely, more than words are needed now, because i am becoming a none believer in everything.

In my experience and what I teach is that there is a misconception about why we are here in physical bodies (to expand creation and evolve as loving beings) and many people think that by doing all sorts of things that they will manifest what they want. The bottom line is that you attract what you are a vibrational match for. So, if you are doing all sorts of things and upset with results, the place to look for answers is within you Reeves. I can appreciate your losing faith and belief. I have found that the reasons why we block the good we desire is because of unresolved thoughts and feelings we are holding onto consciously and sunbconsciously – everything is energy. This can be a very powerfull time for you – some healing, forgiveness, self-love, compassion…. are pathways to openthe flow of good and connection with Source from which all good comes. To let go of attachment to the outcome and trusting that all prayers are heard and when things come that are undesired, they are indicators of something you are meant to learn, know, heal…… This journey for me has shown me flaws in my thinking and ways I have needed to expand my mind and open my heart to be more loving with myself and others as well as deepening my relationship with God. From this has come more abundance, happiness, and peace.

lorraine, i have helped people all my life in every way i could, because i wantes to, not because i thought it would curry favour with any entity, i have been taken advantage of many times due to my good and caring nature, i lost my parents over the last few years and will never recover from that i know, i have tried to make contact with them but nothing, i have asked my guides to give me a physical sign that they are there but nothing, i am sorry but unless someone can show me something concrete i am now a none believer, if thats what the powers that be want then they have succeeded, if you wasn,t a member of the fair sex i would tell you exactly what i think of the lot of it, i too believed that we reincarnate to improve and to move on and i would suppose that your beliefs are the same as mine or were, however would you answer me one thing, HAS ANYTHING TANGIBLE OCCURED ON THE PHYSICAL PLANE FOR YOU THAT YOU CAN HONESTLY SAY WAS A RESULT OF YOUR BELIEFS OR ENDEAVOURS WITH THE PARANORMAL, and i am not just talking about this inner peace codswallup i mean tangible as some form of concrete display that you knew was due to your endeavours, because we can believe what we want but there is no proof of anything unless we perceive something that we know beyond a shadow of a doubt in our own mind that this was a sign or an intervention from the astral or from departed loved ones, by the way you don,t have to explain too much to me regarding everything is energy and that we all re incarnate or the reasons for life here, i know all that or at least i thought i did,so we are told to ask our guides to appeare or give us some sign but this never works either, even trying the ouija still but nothing, loraine to reiterate has anything ever happened to you like i said because i think not, sorry to burst your little bubble but surely the way i have begged and pleaded for some sign or something that i would recognise from guides or my parents and received nothing proves to me that there probably is nothing, my relationship with my parents was such that if they were able to contact me in some way they would i know that but as bloody usual nothing, in fact due to one reason or another i have contenplated suicide more than once and i would have thought under those circumstances that would have been an ideal time for some entity to make contact but by now you already know the answer, so please answer my question that i think i already know the answer to, as you can tell i am near the end of my life and have been involved in many things and i am very worldly wise as well as spiritual and when you speak to me you don,t need to pull punches or explaine things as if i were a teen, i think the modern expression of been there done that fits nicely for me, just reassure me that its all rubbish by confirming nothing like i suggest has ever happened to you, thank you and awaiting your reply,

lorraine thanks for getting back to me, however i would never give my address over the internet, speaking as someone who has to clear spyware from his system on a 2 daily basis i think you will understand this,however if you feel that you cannot quote your experiences openly i suppose i will have to make do with a weaker version of whatever you wished to tell me. again thanks so much for getting back, i guess that if nothing has shown it self to me and i am wrong about there being nothing after all- i guess there must be some reason why the powers that be deem me unfit for gaining insight, so my response is the same damn them, i know that this might sound retrogressive and belligerent however if you knew the years of effort i have put into trying to gain insight i,me sure without a doubt you would understand, i suppose i will find out for my self soon anyway and i won,t mind one bit if my etherial phone comes off the hook permanently because i have had enough of this world i really have, thanks again lorraine, love bob, (real name)

I understand Bob. I felt these comments were turning more into a conversation that lent itself to a more personal communication so I will do my best to answer. My more conscious journey began in the early 1980′s and in building my faith and trust (that is continually strengthening) I gean looking for the ways that my prayers were answered and help was offered. I had to tune my vision to recognize the forms they took that were very different from what I always expected or wanted that always came for my best and highest good even if they were uncomfortable and painfull. Manifestations have come in all different forms of abundance – sometimes in help from another, a message I needed to hear, a confirmation, money showing up, something being resolved that I was upset about, a miraculous healing of a cyst on my thyroid that was scheduled for surgery, being saved from being killed in a car accident, inner guidance and inspiration. I have a heightened intuition that has come from listening, mediting, praying and doing years of ongoing healing of the past, working on forgiveness, shifting my conscious and subconscious beliefs, releasing anger, fear and pain…
My closest friend frollows a Lakota path and has expereienced and witnessed miraculous healings of illnesses and injuries diring sweatlodges, visions quests and Sundance ceremonies. She manifests money and things she needs somethimes within minutes. She also experienced a miraculous healing from lupus when doctors told her she would die. She is completely well and that was years ago. She has devoted her life to be one of service, meditates daily, prayers for hours sometimes. She also works consistently on her own inner healing to raise her vibrations to align with what she want to attract and manifest.
The ability to connect with those who have passed does not happen merely by prayer and request. Sometimes it requires an intercessor to bridge the connection, sometimes souls are off elsewhere and are unable to respond or at a different vibration that we are.
Finally, I believe wholeheartedly that the reasons that things do not come to pass have to do with several things – my own stuff getting in the way which is why doing the inner work is CRITICAL, expectations, blocking receiving (that can be unconscious), not recognizing the forms that prayers are answered, Divine Timing, repressed feeling of anger, unforgiveness (esp. towards self)….
I hear your pain, your frustration, your anger and you are not unfit or being abandoned Bob. I hear that is exactly how you feel and have years of evidence to back that up. My request is to conisder what I have written about the inner work that may be needed to help you break through this silence you believe is happening?
And one more thing Bob…If I were standing in your shoes and had been praying for help. I would see your coming to my blog and having these back and forth comments an answer to my prayers – giving me food for thought, some hope…. So do you see that?

well lorraine, i do feel i have been totally abandoned, even when i have asked for help for my parents before they died is all i got was sweet fa, you see i won,t go into how my parents died at this stage but safe to say that there was a space of time between them going, but i did ask for help for them and did not get it, i am aware that if it was their time to go there was probably very little anyone could have done, but was it their time we shall never be 100% sure, in which case not receiving any help for them is totally unforgivable in my book and makes a mockery of having FAITH in goodness, after 40 odd years i am tired and i think i shall give up totally, needless to say that in the past i have tried to change my vibratory level and many other things that i thought would make a difference but as you can guess
believe me if something was going to show – it would have done so by now but i do take your point about coming accross your website but i feel it was more by design than inspired,so i do think that i would be clutching at straws again to believe it was ordained by some greater power because i do not get that gut reaction that i would get if it were anything but mundane,think of it nearly 43 years and zilch, if things are as you say then fine, but i do not see anything happening for me now, i can only say to you that you are one of the lucky ones so stick with it, for me i am now a none believer,one question you can answer for me is, the self improvement courses or whatever you advocate, how can they be of any use if as you say that we only attract what we are a vibratory match for, by the way self improvement courses are useless i have tried countless over the last 20 odd years and what pathetic little use they achieve one could do with auto suggestion coupled with relaxation techniques, yet again cobblers, you,ll notice i speak my mind because reaching my age and what i have known i have very little interest in small talk, i have seen far too much of human nature at its worst and just about everything is done just to make a quick buck, as for me i don,t think its worth me wasting any more time on things aetherial because i may not have that much left to waste, i do appreciate you trying to help but i think we have both reached a dead end, at least i have, cheers xxx

The programs I advocate and teach or releasing and transforming beliefs, resolving the past, releasing fear all help to unblock, heal and open a person’s mind and heart to align their human and soul self with their life path. As I said Bob, it is all about alignment. We are a vibrational match for whatever we are aligned with. If we are holding fear, we attract more instances to create fear. In my meditations, I have been tiold many times that I need to release certain things from the past that I have been holding on to so this month I have committed to doing my work to let go and heal. As a result of this work, I have released a lot of pent up grief, sadness, and anger that is very old from my childhood. I feel more peaceful and that raises my vibration. Focusing on things I am grateful for, raise vibration. Every times you get anger, frustrated… and give attention to that, your vibration drops. That’s why I said doing the inner work is essential, paying attention to expectations and attactment to the outcomes creates blocks because an answered prayer does not always take the form we want or expecdt. When it doesn’t, it is a great way to get angry, feel abandoned and lose faith. That is not how the Universe works. We always get what is for our best and highest good and what we are a vibrational match for.
I’ve had many times when I have asked for something, guidance, a message and received silence. I have yelled and stamped my feet at God and still nothing came immediately. During those times, I have waited, done my practices, and trusted that an answer or help would come in some way. It always has and often in unexpected ways. My experiences have nothing to do with being lucky or more fit. I am just like you. The differences are in our vibrations.
May I be candid? I will bet you have received answers and missed recognizing them because you expected something else. And maybe those answers or help did not come as fast as you wanted.

One more thing Bob – in our conversation you haven’t talked about doing an work or healing within yourself, addressed anything I have said about attachment to the outcome or the expectation you have when praying or making requests to the Universe. In fact, I don’t believe you have acknowledged that at all. There is a direct vibrational correlation to the attitudes, beliefs, feelings and what we manifest and attract – you are creating every second. You have talked about what you have done but nothing about what energy you have invested in who you have BECOME – your own personal growth and evolution. So, please answer that.
